Teeth Fillings

Dental fillings are done after cavities or decay in teeth are removed. There are two basic common types of tooth fillings used are:

  • Traditional Silver Amalgam Dental Fillings
  • Composite Resin Tooth-Colored Dental Fillings

Smile Signature thailand dental clinics are amalgam-free dental clinics. Our dental clinics in thailand advocate the use of composite resin tooth filllings or tooth-colored white fillings.

With advancement in composite fillings materials, white fillings now prove to be as successful as silver amalgam fillings. The life expectancy of a dental teeth filling can depend greatly on where it is in your mouth and how heavily your teeth come together when you bite.

Tooth-colored dental fillings are designed to match the color of your teeth. The white tooth fillings material called composites is a mixture of glass or quartz filler that provide good durability and resistance to fracture for small- to mid-size restorations. Tooth colored tooth fillings can be used on either front or back teeth.

Composites are bonded into a cavity area to allow your thailand dentists to make a more conservative repair to your tooth. This means tat less tooth structure is removed and result in a smaller filling than that of a metal (amalgam) filling. It generally takes longer to place a composite filling than it does for a metal filling. That’s because composite fillings require the tooth be kept clean and dry while the cavity is being filled.
